The Official By-Laws of the Lincoln Park Chad Society
ARTICLE 1 - NAME, PURPOSE
Section 1: The name of the organization shall be the Lincoln Park Chad Society, or LPCS for short.
Section 2: The Lincoln Park Chad Society was formed to harness and focus the sense of community amongst Chads and their Trixies in the borough of Lincoln Park. By bringing together members of this elite community of Lincoln Park Chads, we will heighten pride and ambition. The LPCS aims to be nothing less than the premier authority in the neighborhood of Lincoln Park, and beyond.
ARTICLE II - MEMBERSHIP
Section 1: Application for voting membership shall be open to any community member that supports the purpose statement in Article 1, Section 2, and continuing membership is contingent upon ongoing Executive Committee approval.
Section 2: Membership shall be granted or revoked upon a majority vote of the Executive Committee. The Executive Committee shall have the right to deny or terminate any membership.
Section 3: Any single member of the Executive Committee may themselves, or by official proxy, suspend any membership pending Executive Committee review.
Section 4: Each voting member of the Lincoln Park Chad Society may appoint one voting proxy.
Section 5: The Executive Committee shall have the authority to establish and define nonvoting categories of membership.
ARTICLE III - MEETINGS OF MEMBERS
Section 1: Annual Meeting. At the discretion of the Executive Committee, an annual meeting may be held at the location and time of the Executive Committee’s choosing.
Section 2: Special Meetings. Special meetings may be called by the Executive Committee.
Section 3: Notice. Notice of each meeting shall be given to each voting member, by email, not less than ten days before the meeting.
ARTICLE IV - EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE
Section 1: Executive Committee Role, Size, Composition. The Executive Committee is responsible for overall policy and direction of the Society, and maintains responsibility for day-today operations. The Executive Committee shall be comprised of exactly five members.
Section 2: Meetings. The Executive Committee shall meet at least monthly, at an agreed upon time and place.
Section 3: Executive Committee Elections. Executive Committee members shall be elected exclusively by unanimous, secret, anonymous vote among the current members of the Executive Committee. Executive Committee appointments are lifetime appointments and may only terminate by voluntary resignation or the death of the Committee member. Executive Committee Elections may not be held by proxy – each current Committee member must vote in person.
Section 4: Executive Committee Chairperson. The Chairpersonship of the Executive Committee shall be determined by alphabetical rotation, by last name, of Executive Committee members. The first Chairperson of the Executive Committee shall be elected by simple election – the Committee member that receives the greatest number of votes shall be the first Chairperson – ties will be broken by a second simple vote. Executive Committee Chairpersonship shall have a term of 6 months.
Section 5: Executive Committee Emeritus Member Status. Upon resignation from the Executive Committee, any former member of the Executive Committee will be designated an Executive Committee Emeritus Member and will retain all rights and privileges of Executive Committee membership, with the exception of taking part in votes.
ARTICLE VII - AMENDMENTS
Section 1: These Bylaws may be amended when necessary by a unanimous vote of the Executive Committee. Proposed amendments must be submitted to the Chairperson of the Executive Committee.







One of the by-laws should be that Chads and Trixies always venerate the worst songs by a particular musical group that get overplayed on the radio.
Ex. “Hey Ya” by Outkast, while so many of their other songs are so much better, ex. “Crumblin’ Herb/Southernplayalisticadallacmuzik”.
Ex2. “Crazy” by Gnarls Barkley, of course, I have yet to hear a good Barkley song.

I am having a name argument with someone from wicker park (blah- right?) and she suggests a chad name should be Brodey (even though its not 1 syllable) — Any thoughts?
