About LPCS

Published by Brent

Origins

The Lincoln Park Chad Society was founded on July 26, 2005 by six friends who live in the wonderful neighborhood of Lincoln Park, Chicago.  The LPCS Committee is made up of young, twenty-something consulting professionals that work in the loop area of downtown Chicago.

Armitage and Sheffield is our home and the village, a slang term for Lincoln Park, is our playground. With its wide array of shops, bars, parks and theaters, the village is the most desirable neighborhood in Chicago to call home. There is ample parking on our residential streets for our Jeeps and Land Rovers, our dogs can romp in the local parks and the local pubs and bars offer endless entertainment.

We promote the values of professionalism, achieving one’s personal best (both at work and at play) and tradition. The work place, with its consulting aspect, is an area to demonstrate wisdom and tact. Social play, usually done at a local bars or gathering, allows us to look our best and show our ability to intermingle with a wide array of different individuals. Tradition is an important value that binds us to our family, friends and future.

THIS IS F***** GREAT! I cannot tell you how many times my buddy and I who both happen to live in LP make fun of all the Chads and Trixies. It’s pathetic how many people in LP are this very way. I am so nauseated when I have to step foot into a LP bar. It’s comical, for a city that is supposed to be diverse I think we are very far from it.

I resort to going to Bucktown just so I can get away from all the f***** chads that are pathetic. The only bad thing about bucktown and wicker park is that there are not as many girls. How ironic?

Your blog is very entertaining. I’m not sure I really fit any of these groups becuase I’m a Bucktown resident but I love to observe the different social groups of Chicago. I’ll keep an eye on your blog for further updates.

    Dear Chicago Tom,

Why would any of us have been born and/or raised in Chicago? Back when we were little, Chicago was a filthy and dangerous place that was to be seen (sometimes) and not lived in. Chicago is better now because of people like us.

You probably shouldn’t be using the internet at your hourly job. You might get fired!
