LPE (Lincoln Park Expressway)

Published by Brent at 8:39 pm under lexicon, the village

The Lincoln Park Expressway (LPE) is officially Clybourn from Division to North. But, it practically extends from Ontario/Orleans, up Orleans and up Clybourn all the way to Sheffield/Willow.

The property around Larabee and Clybourn has been bought up and will be made into shops/malls. Soon lights will pop up at some point in the future signaling the end of the LPE.

I plan on using the LPE beginning in April when the CTA cuts down to 3 tracks and makes the brown line no longer an option to get to the CBOE by the time the market opens. The LPE provides quick and easy access to the Trader’s Self park garage on VanBuren. It will be a little longer to get to the trading floor before the market opens each trading day but at least I won’t have to wait for signal clearance on the train when the EuroOptions have the best liquidity at the market open.
