Trixie Concentration

Published by Brent under starbucks, the village, trixie

Yo Joe of YoChicago and a Trixie consultant recently ventured into Lincoln Park, at Webster and Bissell, to observe the Trixie in her natural habitat. His sightings were rare so I created this diagram of Trixie Concentrations in the Ranch Triangle-Sheffield Neighborhood Association area. This will hopefully allow everyone to better observe Trixie’s in her natural area.

Trixie Concentrations

White – General street traffic. Usually Trixie’s commuting between the colored areas
Orange – Starbuck’s and 7-11 (To get Marlboro Lights when Drunk)
Brown – Brown Line and Kinkade’s Traffic
Green – Boutiques on Armitage
Blue – Tilli’s

Ew, Central Illinois

Published by Brent under the village

Sometimes I forget that there is more to Chicago than Lincoln Park. I have spent weeks not leaving the vicinity of the Quincy Brown Line stop for work and Lincoln Park for play.

Did you also know that there is more to Illinois than just Chicago? There is an entire cornbread, small town population thriving to the south and west of Chicago.

One example of this breed is Daniel and Joanna Yates of Decatur, Illinois. They are a fine example of central Illinois, which to my knowledge is hours south of Chicago. Note the grammar, a fine example of their education system, and their desire to compare Decatur to major US cities.

Proud and happy to be in Decatur

Mr. Leaderbrand has lived here for two years. All we can assume is he has never lived on the East or West Coast. We came home in 1991 to stay. Ok, I agree it is smelly sometimes and no one likes it, I would like to see him give it up for New York if you want smelly. High crime, our home was broken into twice in a two week period. I would like to see him give it up for San Fran-cisco, smelly and I would not let my children (boys or girls) leave our site. Did any of our people get shot or robbed waiting in line for PS3? Taxes? For heavens sake, cigarettes  are $8 a pack or higher, and a dump of a house I would not let my pets live in go for $349,000! Try watching HGTV if you have not had the experience for yourselves. You don’t pay a tax on your car every year when you get your license plate renewals that can cost over $1,000 depending on what type of vehicle you drive and what they deem it is worth! Yes, Decatur has its prob-lems, just like any other city. Our city has come a long way; things don’t “get better” overnight. No one likes higher taxes, higher property taxes or any taxes for that matter. One thing we are doing is moving forward! If all you want to do is complain and not support a transition to “make it better” go home! We are happy here.

I bet they dropped out of eighth grade and took a job at the local Schnucks as a bagger. While complaining about the price of a pack of cigarettes, they will churn out another poor mouth to feed. I feel sad that they get to put the same state abbreviation on their address as people in Lincoln Park. IL should be reserved for Chicagoland.

Starbucks, Franklin and Madison

Published by Brent under starbucks, the loop

Be sure to submit a comsumer comment on Starbuck’s website if you have any comments. They are very prompt about responding to your input.

lpchad.com Letter to Starbucks

I visit the Starbucks at Monroe and Franklin around once or twice a week in the morning to get a grande  non-fat skim mocha and a bagel. For the fourth time this month, I have not been able to purchase my needed bagel. The store was apparently sold out of bagels. When I asked for one, the cashier said, “We’re a busy store - you should get here earlier.”

I agree that this location is a particularly busy establishment; however, I will disagree that I should be arriving earlier in the morning to get a bagel. You have computer systems with a large database. Your company should be able to meet consumer demand. Unless there is a fluke in demand, and three-hundred more people than normal demand bagels in the morning, there should be an ample supply of bagels.

Starbucks Reply

Thank you for taking the time to contact Starbucks Coffee Company. I was very sorry to hear that our location was out of bagels at the time of your visit. Starbucks is very committed to having all of our products available at our retail locations all of the time. This is part of what we like to call the Starbucks Experience.

Acting on feedback is essential to Starbucks continued success. If this does not happen, I realize that you and others may go elsewhere for your coffee needs. I assure you that Starbucks values your comments. Therefore, I shared your experiences with the store’s management team for their attention.

As a customer service gesture I would like to send you some beverage coupons. If you reply to this e-mail with your mailing address, I will get the beverage coupons right out to you. Thank you again for giving us the opportunity to address your concerns and improve our operations.  I hope all of your future visits will bring you nothing but pleasure.

Sincerely,
Sara S.
Customer relations representative
